twenty years after the calamity 

of crashing hijacked weaponized passenger aircraft 

left still listening to our dailies 

offering new compassion to Afghan refugee families 

traveling in military aircraft 

safely touching down by the thousands 

and disembarking into a cobbled tarmac 

in a distant land …
